Schneider Adds 4,200 Intermodal Containers in 2018
Schneider added more than 4,200 intermodal containers in 2018 — a 24% increase from the year before — for a total of 22,200, according to a company news release.
The Green Bay, Wis., transportation and logistics firm said April 8 that it completed its conversion to a company owned and managed chassis fleet last year, and continues to invest in company-owned equipment including intermodal chassis, containers and tractors.
Schneider officials said company ownership of the assets allows consistent and cost-efficient shipping, increased availability, and improved service and load acceptance.
