Diversified motor carrier Schneider announced Stephen Bruffett will join the company as chief financial officer, effective April 29.
Most recently, Bruffett served as chief financial officer of Con-way Inc.
Before joining Con-way in 2008, Bruffett held senior leadership positions at YRC Worldwide Inc. and American Freightways.
“Bruffett brings to [Schneider] experience both within the transportation industry and as a public-company CFO, which should serve [Schneider] well following its transition to public markets in 2017,” R.W. Baird & Co. analyst Benjamin Hartford wrote in a note to investors.
Bruffett succeeds Lori Lutey, who announced her retirement earlier this year.
Schneider ranks No. 6 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America. It ranks No. 16 on the TT 2017 Top 50 list of the largest logistics companies in North America.
