Schneider National is aiming to improve freight visibility options and security by partnering with Overhaul, the company announced April 21.

Overhaul is an integrity solutions company that provides real-time supply chain visibility and integrity solution. Schneider said that the collaboration will help its brokerage division to allow shippers to contain risk and minimize disruptions in their supply chains.

“The combined expertise of Schneider and Overhaul allows shippers to actively manage events ahead of them becoming an issue,” said Erin Van Zeeland, senior vice president and general manager of logistics at Schneider. “This new, integrated solution gives Schneider’s customers more visibility into and control over their freight by harnessing the tracking and monitoring capabilities we are now able to deliver.”

Overhaul works to aggregate data from multiple streams and devices to provide insights and proactive supply chain command. Schneider Transportation Management, the brokerage division of the company, will now be able to provide all-day active monitoring to its customers.

Schneider customers will receive an alert when tracking data detects disruptions. The company said this will enable them to quickly take action, which in turn will provide shippers a decisive edge. They will be able to identify potential issues to improve costs and efficiency.

“Schneider and Overhaul both know the efficiencies gained by helping shippers head off problems at the pass,” Overhaul CEO Barry Conlon said. “Together we’re making it easy for shippers to take critical actions at every turn and create greater cost optimization by containing risk and minimizing supply chain disruption.”
