Silver Spark Plugs Honor Excellence in Maintenance

TAMPA, Fla. — Ken Johnson, chairman of The Maintenance Council, cited the work ethic of three council members — two engine company workers and an employee of a trucking firm — as he bestowed upon them the organization’s highest honor.

Eileen Lindberg of Detroit Diesel Corp., Kevin M. Otto of Cummins Engine Co., and Hershel Brown of Proline Carriers received the Silver Spark Plug award Oct. 12 at a luncheon during TMC’s fall meeting.

“Instead of looking for credit upon accomplishing a task, each looks for another aspect of maintenance to improve,” Johnson said. “Each of them works hard and contributes much without stopping to think about who gets credit.”
