SkyBitz Launches SmartTank Portal

Asset-tracking provider SkyBitz has introduced a new management portal for its SmartTank wireless tank monitoring system.
The SmartTank portal features data visualizations and automated workflows designed to help private fleet operators, wholesalers and distributors improve inventory management and increase delivery efficiency.
An interactive dashboard presents real-time information on metrics such as tank fill levels, inventory usage and product temperatures, along with market insights including demand forecasts and delivery efficiencies by customer and geographical area.
SkyBitz SmartTank utilizes wireless tank sensors with 4G LTE cellular or satellite coverage for tanks in the field, bulk storage tanks and tanks below ground.
Anton Albrand, vice president of sales at SkyBitz, said petroleum and petrochemical supply chains are experiencing “an unusually turbulent period of high demand and product shortages exacerbated by a limited labor force.”
“The launch of the new SmartTank portal comes at a perfect time,” Albrand said in the Dec. 14 announcement. “Distributors can be part of the solution by using valuable insights and digital workflows to proactively manage their workforce and inventories, thereby maximizing delivery efficiencies.”
