Spectrum Equity Invests in Tracking Firm Agilis

Spectrum Equity has made a significant investment in Agilis Systems, a software-as-a-service telematics business used by trucking firms, according to an Agilis news release. Terms were not disclosed.

Agilis tracks vehicles and assets through brands including Linxup and AwareGPS. The St. Louis company said it employs an intuitive platform that collects billions of real-time data points every month, helping customers reduce fuel costs, improve employee safety and compliance, prevent theft and boost productivity. Key features include track and trace, geofencing, diagnostic trouble codes, event-based alerts, temperature monitoring and driver safety scoring.

Agilis tracks more than 165,000 devices for more than 45,000 customers.
