Stemco Acquires Trailer Aerodynamics Firm ATDynamics
Stemco announced that it has acquired ATDynamics Inc., a manufacturer of trailer aerodynamics products, and its TrailerTail technology. Financial terms were not disclosed.
ATDynamics’ TrailerTails are designed to improve fuel efficiency by streamlining the airflow at the back of a semi-trailer. The Hayward, California-based company also offers sideskirts to reduce drag under the trailer.
The buyer said ATDynamics will become part of its Innovated Tire and Mileage Solutions group, which also offers automatic tire inflation systems.
Stemco, headquartered in Longview, Texas, also makes commercial-vehicle wheel end, braking and suspension components. Stemco is part of EnPro Industries Inc.
