Sysco Corp.’s 3Q Income Declines
Food-services provider and private fleet operator Sysco Corp. said Monday its fiscal third-quarter operating income fell to $740.6 million, or $1.24 a share, from $772 million, or $1.26, a year ago.
Sales for the quarter ended March 28 fell 4.5% to $9.1 billion, the company said in a statement.
With a fleet of about 7,700 tractors and 1,400 straight trucks, Sysco is ranked No. 2 on the Transport Topics Private 100 list of U.S. and Canadian private carriers.
