Tech Air Acquires Scully Welding Supply, Propane Service Companies
Industrial gas and equipment supplier Tech Air has acquired Scully Welding Supply Corp. and Scully Propane Service Corp. according to a Dec. 4 press release. This is the 27th acquisition for Tech Air under CI Capital ownership.
Scully, founded in 1947, serves southeastern Pennsylvania with residential and commercial propane, industrial gases and welding supplies, as well as installation and repair services. Its acquisition will help Tech Air achieve scale and synergies with existing business in the surrounding areas, according to the release.
“We are excited to gain the assets, resources and expertise of a group with such a strong and well-established reputation,” Tech Air CEO Myles Dempsey Jr. said. “Since its founding in 1947, Scully has built and expanded its services in a key commercial region of the country.”
Tech Air operates more than 45 branch and fill locations in the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and West regions, and serves more than 45,000 customers. It was founded in 1935 and is headquartered in Danbury, Conn.
