Thermo King Integrates Telematics With iSeries

Refrigeration-unit maker Thermo King said it has integrated its telematics system into the iSeries transportation management software for truckload fleets from Add On Systems Inc.

“The integrated solution offers application compatibility, which makes full-fleet monitoring easier and more efficient by streaming fleet data to one system,” Gayatri Abbott, director of telematics for Thermo King, said in a Sept. 10 statement.

Thermo King’s telematics system, called TracKing, displays real-time alerts, trailer location, door openings, fuel levels and other information, all of which is now available in iSeries for customers who use AOS’s system, the companies said.

Users will still have to use TracKing for more advanced features like remote download of data, Wi-Fi capability and full two-way control of reefer units.
