The Tire Industry Association, which represents all segments of the tire industry, announced a slew of distinctions last month.
The association’s Hall of Fame Committee selected TIA CEO Roy Littlefield and the late Martin Barry, former president of the National Tire Dealers Association, as inductees to the Tire Industry Hall of Fame. Entrance into the Hall of Fame is the tire industry’s highest honor, recognizing individuals who have contributed to the growth of the industry or demonstrated high standards in the management of their businesses.
The committee also named Monte Niemi, CEO of First State Tire Recycling, as the winner of the 2021 Ed Wagner Leadership Award and Miles Moore, retired senior Washington reporter for the publications Rubber & Plastics News and Tire Business, as the recipient of the Friend of the Industry Award.

The Friend of the Industry Award recognizes individuals who are allies and supporters of the industry.
“We are pleased to honor these exceptional individuals entering the Tire Industry Hall of Fame and receiving the Ed Wagner Leadership and Friend of the Industry awards,” said TIA Vice President Mason Hess. “On behalf of the association, we extend our congratulations and are honored to recognize these amazing individuals who have proven themselves as key industry influencers.”
