Trucking software provider TMW Systems upgraded its TruckMate enterprise management system, expanding the software’s back-office capabilities and polishing its user interface, the company said.
The latest TruckMate upgrade includes database enhancements aimed at companies running more than one business — for example, a carrier that maintains a logistics subsidiary.
“Significant among many new features is true multi-company support, which allows a single database schema to handle more than one related company’s business transactions,” TMW said in a June 4 statement.
Tweaks to TruckMate’s graphical interface include a “screen-designer mode” that allows end-users to arrange data input fields in the software’s main window as they choose.
TMW, Beechwood, Ohio, also added integrations to ALK Technologies’ PC-Miler truck routing software and to Carrier 411 Services’ Carrier 411 software, which freight brokers use to vet carriers’ insurance and operating credentials.
The software vendor also shifted TruckMate to a rolling release schedule, which features “more frequent, smaller product updates,” compared with the previous update schedule.
