Trailer Bridge’s 1Q Loss Narrows

Trailer Bridge Inc. lost $308,000, or 3 cents a share, in the first quarter, compared with a loss of $768,000, or 6 cents, a year ago.

Revenue rose 13.8% to $28.8 million, the company said late Monday. Excluding fuel surcharges, revenue rose 11.4%.

Operating income improved 23.8% to $2.2 million, from $1.8 million a year ago, on higher revenue and volume.

Trailer Bridge provides integrated trucking, intermodal and marine freight services, including a core twice-weekly service to Puerto Rico.
