TransCore Expands Freight Match Service Options

TransCore said it is broadening its offerings by creating a 3sixty Freight Match Express program intended to offer access to the company’s DAT Network for small fleets, brokers and carriers.

The Feb. 12 announcement said the program is designed in two formats, known as 3sixty Express Lite and 3sixty Express Select.

The DAT Network offers broker and carrier information, including credit scores for brokers, timeliness of bill payments, safety data about carriers and measures of their service reliability.

The Lite package is aimed at brokers or shippers who want to post loads or find carriers. There are no limits on load posting and e-mail alerts are sent when a match occurs. Freight availability also can be channeled to truck stops and business can be sought through a customer directory.

The other program is de-signed for asset-owning carriers and brokers. In addition to the Lite package, the Select program has an automated feature called Carrier Watch, which includes updated federal safety ratings of motor carriers, as well as their insurance and operating authority information.

“Offering small brokers and shippers of any size access to the largest and most dependable freight-matching service seems crucial in this competitive market for freight,” said David Schrader, TransCore’s senior vice president of freight services.
