TransCore Launches Truckload Rate Exchange Program

The Truckload Rate Exchange gathers anonymous data from freight brokers and third-party logistics companies based on transactions with truckload carriers, TransCore said in a statement Monday.

The exchange calculates spot market rates for vans, refrigerated trailers and flatbeds across lanes within the United States and between the U.S. and Canada. Spot market data are only available to intermediaries who contribute data.

Rates are based on $14 billion in transactions from hundreds of intermediaries and are updated daily, TransCore said.
