Digital freight-broker Transfix announced two updates to its platform: My Lanes, a product that recommends freight based on carrier preferences; and Reserved Loads, which it referred to as the industry’s first exclusive-access freight program for “exceptional” carriers.
“By incorporating carrier preferences and recommending loads they’re most likely to accept, and by offering freight exclusively to our best performers, we are creating predictability, sustainability and better utilization in the logistics ecosystem,” Drew McElroy, CEO and co-founder of Transfix, said in a release.
With My Lanes, a carrier’s preferences could include pickup and drop-off location, day, time, equipment type and preferred rate, according to the New York City-based company.
With Reserved Loads,Transfix carriers with an excellent performance record will be hand-selected to receive the loads, and will have 60 minutes to accept or reject the freight offer. — Transport Topics
