Transplace Releases Supply Chain Optimization Platform

Transplace said it has released a new technology platform designed to streamline distribution networks and reduce transportation costs.

Optimize Prime integrates with Transplace’s transportation management system to optimize mode selection, load consolidation, carrier assignments and shipment routing, the third-party logistics and technology company said.

The product, which replaces Transplace’s Scenario Pro Technology system, enables better and faster decision-making by considering more scenarios in a shorter amount of time while delivering detailed reports, the Dallas-based company said.

Optimize Prime also can incorporate business rules for cost, service level, product type, packaging and appointment windows.

“The dynamic system is a library of optimization routines with unique parameters that can be tailored for each customer in order to build ‘friendly’ routes, increase load ratio and asset utilization and drive waste out of the system,” Vince Biddlecombe, executive vice president and chief technology officer, said in the Oct. 21 announcement.
