Truck dealerships CSM Companies Inc. and French-Ellison Truck Center announced that the two companies would merge March 31.
The combined dealer group will operate a total of 19 facilities in the Midwest and Texas.
Prior to the merger, CSM Companies operated 12 Kenworth dealerships and three independent service centers in Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska and Illinois. The company’s locations do business as Wisconsin Kenworth, Michigan Kenworth, Sahling Kenworth and Dedicated Fleet Services.
French-Ellison has four Kenworth and three Mack dealerships in south Texas.
“Our customers will benefit from the convenience of a larger footprint and customer focused capabilities that come with greater economy of scale,” Jim Moeller, president of CSM, said in the announcement.
Moeller will be CEO of the new company and Jay Ellison, president of French-Ellison, will be president of the combined group.
The merged company will be headquartered in Madison, Wis.
The combined group will operate under the CSM Companies name, but the Texas locations will continue to use the French-Ellison name and operate as a subsidiary, a CSM spokeswoman said.
