Two companies have partnered to develop a logistics solution for the interior design and architecture industries.
TSI and Metro White Glove will launch Design Logistics, a platform with full-service support for designers and architects. The pair hope the combination of comprehensive project management with nationwide white-glove shipping solutions will result in significant operational efficiencies, according to a Nov. 8 press release.
“Our team will serve as a single point of contact for all shipping and delivery needs, and manage the back-and-forth with manufacturers and other suppliers,” said Chris Smith, CEO of TSI. “Through Design Logistics, we consolidate shipments, offer warehousing and track progress against timelines. When everything is ready, we ensure all the pieces get safely to their destination.”
TSI and Metro White Glove have separately serviced designers, architects, furniture builders and manufacturers since 1989. TSI specializes in long-distance small moves and specialty shipments. Metro White Glove is a division of Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery Corp., which has more than 1.5 million square feet of warehouse space and delivery teams situated across 24 North American hubs.
