Uber Freight unveiled a new fuel card to help carriers with on-the-road purchases, the company announced April 27.

The Uber Freight Carrier Card was launched as part of a partnership with payment platform company AtoB. The card provides fuel discounts and same-day payments, and has no annual fees. It can also help with cash flow management.

Uber Freight said the partnership is part of an effort to expand its carrier offerings. The card can be used to purchase fuel at any fueling station or truck stop that accepts Visa.

“Carriers need innovative tools and solutions to build thriving businesses, maximizing their time and earnings potential on the road,” Uber Freight CEO Lior Ron said. “Since our beginning, Uber Freight has brought much-needed transformation to the industry. We’ve introduced driver-first carrier solutions that improve the economics of truck ownership for the thousands of drivers on our platform. Now more than ever, carriers need a solution that simplifies finances.”

AtoB will also be providing other tools through spend management software that is directly integrated into its carrier platform.

“We’re proud to partner with Uber Freight to support their nationwide carrier network,” AtoB CEO Vignan Velivela said. “This partnership demonstrates the strength and scalability of AtoB’s platform and products. AtoB aligns fleet finances with powerful banking, lending and credit tools that, until now, have been out of reach for many operators. This announcement is an important growth moment for both our company and fleet operators across the U.S.” — Transport Topics
