UPS Launches Service for High-Value, Temperature-Sensitive Shipments

UPS Inc. launched a service to help ensure that high-value time and temperature-sensitive shipments reach their destinations on time.

UPS Proactive Response Secure is ideal for health care shipments, including specialty pharmaceuticals, biologics, diagnostic specimens and implantable surgical materials, the company said.

The service  — available throughout the United States and for outbound shipments to Europe — will help ensure that shipments reach their destinations through real-time monitoring and intervention services.

“This is the highest level of service we offer,” said Bill Hook, vice president of UPS Global Healthcare Strategy. “By leveraging our proprietary technology, UPS can identify shipments that will be impacted by a delay.”
