UPS to Lay Off 400 at Logistics Center

UPS has told more than 400 workers at a northern Kentucky logistics facility that they will be laid off in March, the Associated Press reported.

The company said Wednesday that layoffs will be made at a facility in Hebron because online retailer Zulily Inc. chose to handle its own logistics operations for order processing and inventory management instead of contracting with UPS.

Most of the 430 workers are hourly employees and approximately 100 are temporary workers, a spokeswoman told AP.
