Logistics firm US 1 Industries said it had a fourth quarter net loss of $2.1 million, or 15 cents a share, compared with a profit of $582,000, or 4 cents a share, a year earlier.
Operating revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 grew to $47.3 million, from $39.9 million in 2008. The company had an operating loss of $1.1 million, compared with an operating income of $450,000 million the previous year.
For the full year 2009, US 1 lost $2.6 million, or 18 cents a share, compared with a profit of $3.1 million, or 21 cents, in 2008. Operating revenue grew to $179.7 million, from $172.7 million the year before.
US 1 provides financial resources, insurance and information technology to the trucking and logistics industries.
