Vanguard Truck Centers, with a network of 20 sites in six states, announced it invested $23 million in a new facility in the Houston area, joining three others there.
The company is a dealer for Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks, both of which are brands of Sweden-based Volvo Group.
The new 23-acre facility includes a full-service body shop, fully heated and air conditioned, equipped to service vehicles running on compressed natural gas and the new Volvo VNR Electric model and the Mack LR Electric refuse model. It is staffed by 42 technicians, half of whom are master technicians, according to Mack.
