LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jeff Waterstreet, sales manager for Continental’s VDO RoadLog outlined a series of new offerings for the currently available electronic logging device and multiple enhancements to be rolled out later this year.
Speaking at the Continental booth at the Mid-America Trucking Show, Waterstreet said a new Wi-Fi driver key known as the RoadLog Connect app is being offered so that information from the company’s stand-alone ELD can be sent by phone. That offering is available now for Android phones and will be offered later for iPhones, he said.
Another new product is RoadLog ELD Plus, designed to enable real-time monitoring of driver and tractor performance through the VDO RoadLog Fleet Online.
That fleet management compliance software is designed to offer three levels of service ranging from the essential to premium level known as dispatch.
“This is the first time that such a robust set of management tools can be managed by fleets of any size,” Waterstreet said.
