Vice President Joe Biden Continues October Transportation Blitz

Vice President Joe Biden, who gave a major infrastructure speech in Washington on Oct. 8, continued his interest in transportation issues six days later by meeting with a group of stakeholders at the White House.

The group, known as the Build America Transportation Investment Center, was formed in September by Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx and is led by Executive Director Andrew Right.

BATIC’s mission is to work with state and local governments as well as investors looking for help in navigating the federal transportation structure. BATIC will assist stakeholders in applying for credit programs and identifying ways to tap into private capital for public-private partnerships.
