Vigillo, a provider of data-mining software, announced that it is offering a discounted rate for its crash review program to members of participating state trucking associations.
The crash review program is part of Vigillo’s Just scoring system, which is designed to address “fundamental flaws” associated with the scoring methodology used by the federal Compliance, Safety, Accountability program.
The technology firm made the announcement at the American Trucking Associations’ Leadership Meeting in Washington on May 2.
The Colorado Motor Carriers Association and Georgia Motor Trucking Association are the first state trucking associations to offer the discounted Just crash reviews to their members.
Participants will receive a 10% discount on each crash review. Vigillo will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Trucking Moves America Forward image campaign or a foundation of the state association’s choice.
“As more members of state trucking associations participate in our new partnerships, we expect Just to become the accurate scoring standard the industry will rely on,” said Steve Bryan, Vigillo’s CEO.
Vigillo said its Just program addresses four flaws in CSA that make it “unjust and punitive:” crash preventability, differences in state enforcement, safety event groups and underinspected carriers.
