Vnomics Launches True Fuel
The company, which made the announcement here Feb. 28 at the Technology & Maintenance Council’s annual meeting, said the standalone system improves fuel economy through real-time driver coaching and comprehensive analytics.
“We’ve taken our current fuel optimization solution, which has already proven to provide a 3% to 10% fleetwide fuel savings on several thousand vehicles, and packaged it as a stand-alone product that any fleet can quickly deploy and begin saving fuel immediately,” Vnomics CEO Alan Farnsworth said.
The system can use any fleet’s telematics or onboard technology. Vnomics said True Fuel can precisely monitor each vehicle’s actual fuel usage in real-time and compares it with the maximum achievable fuel economy for that vehicle under its current operating conditions.
The company said drivers are provided balanced scorecards detailing the fuel loss factors they can control, including shifting efficiency, speeding and idle time.
