Volvo Delivers First Remote Diagnostics Trucks

Volvo Trucks has delivered the first trucks equipped with its remote diagnostics tool that provides repair assistance by communicating problems to Volvo's support team.

After the support team is notified, they work with the nearest dealer to ensure the right parts are on-hand before a truck arrives.

The trucks were delivered to Purolator Inc., a Canadian carrier, as part of an order for 80 Volvo VNL 300 daycabs.

The diagnostics service was announced in May and since then has been field tested with 1,300 trucks.
