Volvo AB’s North American truck sales rose 51% in July from a year ago to 2,553 units, the company said Tuesday.
Worldwide deliveries for all the company’s brands rose 18% to almost 17,000 units for the month, Sweden-based Volvo said in a statement. Just over 12,000 of those were heavy-duty trucks, a 22% increase.
Volvo AB is the parent company of Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks.
Volvo Trucks’ North American deliveries rose to 1,632, from 1,094 a year ago, an almost 50% increase.
Mack’s deliveries rose to 831 units from 537, about a 55% jump, the company said.
