Wabash Completes $35 Million Capital Infusion

Trailer maker Wabash National Corp. said it has completed a $35 million investment in the company by a private equity firm.

The cash infusion was made by Trailer Investments LLC, an entity formed by equity firm Lincolnshire Equity Fund III L.P., a fund managed by Lincolnshire Management Inc., Wabash said Monday.

Concurrent with the deal, Wabash increased the size of its board to 12 members from seven, adding five members from Trailer Investments, including Andrew Boynton, who is also the dean of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.

“Lincolnshire Management brings a proven track record of success and has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting the companies that they invest in,” said Dick Giromini, Wabash’s chief executive officer.

Publicly traded Wabash National Corp. plans to release its quarterly earnings statement on Wednesday.
