Trailer manufacturer Wabash National Corp. said its fourth-quarter and full-year income rose on higher trailer sales.
The company earned $7.5 million, or 11 cents per share, in the quarter, up from $4.9 million, or 7 cents, a year earlier. Revenue rose to $341.7 million, from $241.5 million.
Its 13,600 new trailer shipments in the quarter met the company’s previous guidance, reflecting a “continued strong demand environment,” said CEO Dick Giromini.
Its full-year new trailer shipments, totaling 47,600, were nearly double 2010 level, Giromini said in a statement.
Full-year net income was $15 million, or 22 cents per share, compared with a 2010 loss of $141.7 million, or $3.36.
Revenue almost doubled to $1.2 billion, from $640.4 million, Lafayette, Ind.-based Wabash said.
