Walker Joins United Road Services as COO

United Road Services announced the appointment of Jason Walker as chief operating officer, filling a job left open when Mark Anderson was promoted to president and CEO in January.

Walker was most recently vice president and general manager of transportation services and truckload at UPS Inc. and has more than 20 years of experience in freight management, global compliance and international partnerships, according to a statement released by United Road Services on June 19.
“Jason is a great fit for our culture of being customer-driven and driver-centric,” Anderson commented. “His experience in implementing technology solutions to drive safety and efficiencies in operations, his ability to partner with professional car haulers, will enhance United Road’s ability to service our customers across North America.”
Walker, 45, is a graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
