Weyerhaeuser to Close Trucking Unit

Forest products company Weyerhaeuser Co. will close its trucking division by the end of June, the Associated Press reported.

A spokesman for the Tacoma, Wash.-company said about 75 jobs will be lost in scrapping the division, which the company is closing in part because it does not consider trucking a core business, AP reported.

The trucking division has a fleet of 42 trucks hauling mostly wood products to Oregon and Washington state, AP said.
