Wisconsin Truckers Choose Kedzie to Succeed Howells
Neal Kedzie will become president of the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association as of July 1, the trucking organization announced. He will succeed Tom Howells, who is retiring.
The announcement was made June 24 by the association’s executive committee. Kedzie is a former state legislator, having served in the Assembly and the Senate, where he served as chairman of the Natural Resources and Transportation committees.
“Growing a strong economy is dependent on a vibrant trucking industry, and I welcome the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead moving this organization forward,” said Kedzie, whose brother Glen is vice president for environmental affairs and assistant general counsel at American Trucking Associations.
Howells, who has led WMCA for 35 years, said he believes Neal Kedzie is a “great choice” for the association and that he is helping with the leadership transition.
Mike Natalizio, chairman of WMCA’s executive committee said, “Tom has been an incredible leader that has passionately dedicated his service to our members and the entire transportation industry.”
