Worldwide Express Hires Joel Clum from CarrierDirect

Worldwide Express, a reseller of express shipping for UPS Inc. and other freight carriers, said it has hired Joel Clum to be senior vice president of franchise operations.

Clum was president of CarrierDirect, a Chicago-based firm that provides research and strategic consulting services for freight carriers and logistics firms.

Tom Madine, CEO of Worldwide Express, said Clum “will be an important piece to get us to where we’re headed as a company.”

CarrierDirect founder and CEO Jett McCandless said he expects to continue working with Worldwide Express as that company expands into the freight industry.

Worldwide Express, based in Dallas, ranks No. 7 on Transport Topics’ Top Freight Brokerage Firms list.
