Xata Corp. said its third-quarter loss widened and that it has integrated its Xata Turnpike product with transportation management software from TMW Systems.
Xata lost $6.3 million, or 59 cents per share, compared with a loss of $500,000, or 4 cents, a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 slipped to $15.6 million, from $17 million.
The increased loss was due primarily to $5.7 million in impairment and realignment charges, the company said.
Xata’s software revenue rose 4% to $11.8 million, led by 31% growth in Xata Turnpike. XataNet revenue rose 8%.
The Xata Turnpike integration with TMWSuite combines tools for drivers and fleet managers and improves efficiency by automating functions throughout the load planning and back-end processes, Xata said.
