XPO Logistics held its inaugural Women in Leadership Conference in Atlanta Nov. 17-19.
The Greenwich, Conn.-based provider of freight transportation services said the event was part of an executive training program for high-potential female managers. XPO RISE seeks to increase gender diversity among company management. All 18 women selected for the program attended the event.
“You’ve got to drive the narrative about who you are, as opposed to trying to react to the narrative that others create about you,” XPO board member Johnny Taylor said during the keynote address. “But don’t start the conversation with how great you are. People are drawn to humility.”
