Yellow's Security Chief Headed for TSA Post

Yellow Corp.’s director of security, George Rodriguez, has emerged as the sole candidate for the job of directing trucking security at the federal government’s new Transportation Security Administration, according to sources.

TSA Administrator John Magaw announced at a hearing of the Senate Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee March 21 that a candidate for the position had been selected. Magaw, however, did not identify the individual.

A source at the Department of Transportation, TSA’s parent agency, confirmed that the candidate currently worked for Yellow.

When contacted by Transport Topics, Rodriguez said that he had accepted the position, and will report to work at TSA on April 28.
