Bollinger Motors announced a postponement to its consumer-truck production and delivery.The electric vehicle manufacturer intends now to focus its efforts on commercial all-electric platforms and chassis cabs for commercial vehicles in Classes 3-6.

Bollinger Motors Inc. said Aug. 25 it will sell Class 4 and Class 5 electric commercial trucks in addition to the Class 3 vehicles it unveiled last year in a move the Oak Park, Mich.-based startup said would offer greater coverage to customers.

Bollinger debuted a configurable, $70,000 B2CC commercial pickup chassis cab and $55,000 CHASS-E truck platform for the high-volume, work truck market March 12.

Oak Park, Mich.-based electric-vehicle startup Bollinger Motors on Oct. 15 said it will produce its own battery packs for its vehicles according to a new design it developed and for which it has submitted a patent.
