Truck parking has risen in recent years to be acknowledged as one of the most critical concerns of the industry - especially drivers who need safe places to park and rest. In the House, the recently introduced Truck Parking Safety Improvement Act would offer crucial assistance to the expansion of commercial truck parking spaces. There are presently more than 5,000 truck stops and travel centers which provide about 90% of the country's truck parking capacity. What role will truck stops and travel centers play in the path to addressing the shortage and aiding expansion? Lisa Mullings, CEO of National Association of Truck Stop Operators (NATSO), joins Dan Ronan to discuss the association's perspective on the issue of parking and driver safety.
