President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to lift the Biden administration’s moratorium on new permits to export liquefied natural gas on his first day in office next week. 

U.S. natural gas futures soared as the weather outlook for January shifted colder, raising demand prospects for the fuel used in heating and power generation.
