Accuride Posts 4Q Profit, Annual Loss

Improving North American trucks sales led parts maker Accuride Corp. to post a fourth-quarter profit but a net loss for the year, the Evansville, Ind., company said.

Accuride — which primarily makes wheels and wheel-ends — earned $4.1 million on quarterly revenue of $242.5 million, turning around a previous-year loss of $110.9 million, on revenue of $175.7 million.

Its wheel and iron foundry divisions were profitable, but the Gunite wheel-end and Imperial parts divisions lost money.

For the full year, Accuride lost $17 million on sales of $936.1 million, the company said late Wednesday.

Accuride emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in February 2010.
