Joseph Cowan is stepping down as the longtime CEO of truckload carrier Cowan Systems LLC Dec. 31 and President Dennis Morgan will be promoted to CEO.

Cowan Systems has implemented an incentive program that guarantees every newly hired driver a $15,000 bonus, the company announced Aug. 19.

Baltimore trucking company Cowan Systems has acquired Carlisle Carrier Corp. of Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Dennis Morgan has been promoted to the president’s post at Cowan Systems, where Joseph Cowan will remain chairman and CEO.
