The president of Add On Systems, Oklahoma City, disputed several assertions made by Innovative Computing Corp. in connection with a court order that reportedly restricted Add On’s access to Innovative’s copyrighted software.
Specifically, he disputes Innovative’s suggestion that the injunction issued by U.S. District Judge Lee R. West restricts the company from using Innovative’s software in its business. According to Fish, the judge’s order permits Add On Systems “to create a back-up or file save copy of ICC’s copyrighted computer software programs on the computer system of any ICC licensee for the sole purpose of modifying said licensee’s computer programs.”

In a letter to Transport Topics, Hugh A. Fish said parts of an article published Oct. 25 about the case “are not accurate.” (See "Software Maker Wins Injunction")
The order also specified that the back-up or file save copy “shall remain only on the computer system of the ICC licensee.”
