Air Freight Exchange to Start Testing

An electronic global market for air cargo capacity is planned for rollout, with a bit of help from Germany’s postal service.

Deutsche Post World Net, a branch of the German postal service, bought a 10% stake in an international wholesale air-freight exchange, which is scheduled to open up for business in late summer.

London-based Global Freight Exchange plans to tests the concept with several air cargo carriers and freight forwarders before then.
