AirIq Posts Small 1Q Profit

Canadian technology firm AirIq Inc., which provides wireless location services to the trucking industry, said it earned C$671,000, or less than 1 Canadian cent per share, in the first quarter, compared with a loss of C$1.7 million, or 1 Canadian cent, a year earlier.

The company said revenue was C$8.5 million, compared with C$10.1 million a year ago. It attributed the improved results to the sale of a vehicle finance division to CalAmp DataCom on March 16.
