Aljex Software said it has integrated its cloud-based transportation management software with Carrier Registration System Plus, a carrier qualification and onboarding product from Registry Monitoring Insurance Services.
The integration with CRS Plus enables freight brokers to streamline the process of registering a carrier prior to shipment, Aljex said in the June 10 announcement.
The carrier enters information, such as its motor carrier number, and accepts the broker’s contract and other legal requirements on a Web page customized with a broker’s own carrier qualifications and rules.
RMIS then verifies the carrier’s operating authority, safety rating, CSA scores and insurance.
Aljex said it first developed the integration with CRS Plus for NFI Brokerage but has now made that integration available to all Aljex users.
“We’re seamlessly and efficiently onboarding a hundred-plus carriers a week with the same number of people we were using to onboard 20,” said David Broering, senior vice president of integrated solutions at NFI Brokerage, a division of NFI Industries.
