NASHVILLE, Tenn. — ALK Technologies announced its truck navigation software is now integrated with TMW’s fuel optimization product and that its latest update of routing software is integrated with TMW products.
Announced at TMW’s TransForum user conference here, the companies said TMW’s IDSC ExpertFuel program is integrated with ALK’s CoPilot Truck in-cab navigation system through TMWSuite and Total Mail systems.
The integration allows carriers to reduce fuel expenses and out-of-route mileage by automating route planning and ensuring route compliance.
ExpertFuel creates a turn-by-turn route plan that can be sent directly to CoPilot Truck running on a mobile communication device in the truck cab, giving the driver spoken, turn-by-turn directions to all assigned customer and fueling stops. To ensure compliance, CoPilot Truck gives management the ability to control how the navigation reacts when a driver goes off-route.
The latest version of ALK’s PC Miler routing, mileage and mapping software has been tested and approved for use with multiple products within TMW’s portfolio of transportation and fleet management products, the companies said.
The PC Miler 28 integration covers IDSC ExpertFuel, Appian DirectRoute, Innovative IES, Access and Access Plus, TL2000, TMWSuite and TruckMate products.
