Allan Fisher Named to FMCSA Post

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration appointed Allan M. Fisher to the newly created position of associate administrator for administration.

He will be a key advisor on all management and administrative matters handled by FMCSA’s administrator. Clyde Hart Jr. is currently the acting FMCSA administrator.

Fisher was tapped to provide direction and leadership for the development of the agency’s fiscal year 2002 budget. He will offer advice for financial management and human resource programs, acquisition policies and programs and information resources management, said a FMCSA spokesman.

Fisher has more than 17 years of government experience, working with the Department of Commerce and the National Security Agency. He began work at FMCSA Oct. 23.
